This strategic exercise, part of our CyberSecure at Sea 2025 conference, is specifically designed for shipowners and managers looking to review, refresh and enhance their vessel cybersecurity spend.

What to Expect:

This interactive session is tailored for fleet superintendents, budget holders, vessel IT teams and HSSQE officers—those directly involved in shaping cybersecurity strategy and spending. In this interactive exercise, you will have the opportunity to consider decisions on cybersecurity investments, assess their effectiveness, and evaluate return on investment.

The exercise is designed to:

  • Improve understanding of cybersecurity controls and their effectiveness in addressing evolving cyber risks.

Daniel Ng

Dan is CEO of CyberOwl, a company specialising in maritime cyber risk management. Before building CyberOwl he was Associate Director at KPMG, where he focused on the Defence, Security and Industrial sectors. During that time, he worked extensively with global security, defense, technology and engineering companies such as Northrop Grumman, Atos and BP. Dan is also actively involved in sector-wide activities, including as Council Member of the Digital Technology Group of the UK Society for Maritime Industries and Steering Committee Member for the Operational Technology Cyber Security Alliance.

Richard Wagner

Richard Wagner is the Global Head of Sales at CyberOwl, leading CyberOwl’s growth and customer relationships.Richard is the Chairman of the Singapore Shipping Association Cybersecurity Committee and the Cybersecurity Roundtable Working Group.Through these engagements, Richard is responsible for leading initiatives to develop the cyber resilience of the maritime and offshore supply chain in Singapore and the wider region.Richard has worked across the payments, banking and maritime industries for companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland, WorldPay, ACI and Global Navigation Solutions. He has over 15 years of experience working in software and technology businesses across Europe, the Americas and Asia to deliver commercial and operational business transformation.
DNV | Country Manager

Stian Sollied

Stian Sollied has served as DNV’s Country Manager in Japan since 2018, overseeing and expanding the company’s maritime operations from his base in Kobe. He joined DNV in 2001 as a design approval engineer and went on to lead the Safety and Systems section at DNV’s Approval Centre in Shanghai from 2007 to 2014. During this period, he also represented DNV on the Bulk Carrier Committee of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). From 2014 to 2017, Sollied worked at DNV’s head office as a Business Development Manager, focusing on future regulatory developments and the impact of the energy transition on the maritime industry. He holds an MSc in Naval Architecture from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and also serves as the Norwegian Honorary General Consul in Kobe.
